Chris Connell is an international business-to-business technology marketing leader, with more than 20 years’ experience driving business growth and technology adoption across global markets.
Chris has led marketing and business development initiatives for a number of technology leaders, including IBM in the hardware and server space, and CA Technologies in the IT Infrastructure, Network and Application Management space, before further specialising in demand generation marketing for high growth SaaS businesses, Basware (cloud-based financial services automation), Marketo (cloud-based marketing automation) and Cornerstone OnDemand (cloud-based unified talent management).
With deep expertise in the HR software management market, Chris understands the challenges facing business and people leaders, and the critical need for organisations to make employee-centric, data-driven decisions across the entire employee lifecycle. That’s why Chris now leads marketing and business development at Compono, the world’s leading provider of intelligence-based people technology. With Compono solutions, organisations can hire, develop and retain the best talent, while putting intelligent decision making at the heart of their organisations.
Chris joined Compono in February 2021 as Chief Marketing Officer, with a laser-focus on helping customers find, develop and retain the right people, as well as building long term relationships with customers and the Compono partner ecosystem.
Chris has presented best practice marketing sessions at a number of industry events across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, and has contributed to The Australian, News.com.au, CMO magazine, B&T weekly, and AdNews Australia. He is currently completing a MBA with the Southern Cross University, Queensland.
